We develop our initiatives in 6 interrelated areas

We develop educational programs in response to local demands seeking to promote the right to education.

Main Programs:

• SonRiseritos / Young Smilers (community kindergarten dedicated to children who do not have access to public kindergartens).
• Literacy Program
• Support Program throughout educational stages (focused on language and math activities).
• High-School Diploma (support for adults in completing their primary and secondary school education).
• Programming and Robotics (educational space for world-of-tomorrow knowledge).

Our initiatives include sporting, recreational and cultural activities. We promote spaces that guarantee the right to recreation, play, sports and culture.

Bearing in mind the importance of a holistic approach that considers the entire family, we have developed a job training program dedicated to the adults responsible for the children and teenagers who participate in SonRisas.

Our initiatives prioritize the inclusion of women and are carried out with a gender perspective.

This program promotes job training for young people and adult women including tools for employability and entrepreneurship. We offer both infrastructure and support in manufacturing workshops during the first years of members’ development, empowering them to go through a formative experience and generate actual income from the sale of their products or services.

We work towards strengthening the community and meeting basic needs. Our team of professionals supports families in addressing their problems from legal advice to psychological and psycho-pedagogical assistance to follow-up by social workers.

Main programs:

• Management Board (at each Social Center we have services and advice for administrative proceedings before public agencies)
• Community Compensation (for families in a food crisis, we exchange a weekly bag of food for a community task at the Social Centers)
• Women's Gathering (a place of support for women)

We work in lasting partnership with social organizations, neighborhood schools, the private sector, and the public sector at its three levels (municipal, provincial and national). By building up this regional network, we can strengthen the help we give out while also making our work deeper and more sustainable over time.

In 2020, we set up the Esteban Echeverría Network made up of over 100 community organizations that work in the region, mainly in food emergencies.

Faced with the ongoing problem of access to health care in the communities where we work, we develop programs and initiatives that enable us to promote, network and strive for the Right to Health.

Main programs and activities:

• 1000 days (a program dedicated to pregnant women and children up to 3 years of age)
• Dental Clinic (we have our own facilities with an in-house dental clinic)
• Local Health Outreach (a program to train community members as neighborhood health agents)
• Supporting Vaccination Campaigns
• Networking with both public and private organizations to ease the diagnosis of problems, increase awareness and determine service priorities within the public health system
